CNC Blind Zone Machining Chatter Suppression: Transmission Stiffness Gradient Control and Friction-Impact Composite Damping
This paper addresses CNC blind zone machining chatter induced by stiffness anisotropy and fluctuating cutting force. It proposes a combined strategy of transmission system stiffness gradient regulation and friction-impact composite energy dissipation tool shank. TC4 titanium alloy cutting experiments show the method lifts critical chatter feed rate, reduces tool radial runout and improves surface quality.
